It has been pretty busy lately, Wake Island, Banaba Island, American Samoa, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Lakshadweep and more. Here on the west coast K9W was pretty easy. I worked them on all HF bands and even managed a QSO on 160 meters.

10 Meters has been great lately, I have well over 100 countries but only 66 confirmed so I really need to get some cards sent out so I can apply for DXCC.
Well I only had a little luck with VP8ORK. I worked them on 30 meters and 160 meters. I’m real happy with the 160 QSO with my 29 foot vertical but I really wanted to work them on 80 meters. A couple of nights they were almost strong enough but not quite. 160 ended up being pretty easy however. I’ve still been working away at 80 meters. I did get WH0DX for a new one and I am hoping I made it into the log for HS0ZEE but he was weak and there was bad QSB so I am not sure. I am hoping I can pick up S9DX and T30OU or T30YA on 80 meters before they all move on. Hopefully I can pick up something new in the contest next weekend. I just realized I don’t have Argentina on 80 and that shouldn’t be too difficult.
Trying to work VP8ORK but just can’t hear him good enough. Friends with much better antennas nearby have barely been able to work them so I don’t feel too bad. I have made lots of QSOs for the 160 meter CW contest, however. Just US, Canada and Mexico, though. I have better luck on 160 outside the contest, managed to pick up Taiwan and Cambodia plus a couple of Asiatic Russia stations. Just hope propagation improves before VP8ORK packs up in February.
